This is the kind of salsa I make when I want something fresh without any fuss. It’s chopped rather than blended, uses cherry tomatoes for their flavour, and comes together very quickly.

Chunky Tomato Salsa
A quick, chunky tomato salsa made with cherry tomatoes, red onion, garlic, lime and coriander. No blender needed — just chop, mix and serve.
Ingredients
Method
- Quarter the cherry tomatoes and place them in a bowl.
- Finely chop the red onion and add it to the bowl.
- Add the crushed garlic, lime juice, oregano, salt and chopped coriander.
- Mix everything together well.
- Taste and adjust with extra salt and freshly ground black pepper if needed.
- Serve straight away.
Notes
- This is a quick, simple salsa that doesn’t use a blender.
- Cherry tomatoes work best here for their flavour.
- Serve with gluten-free nachos, alongside chilli, or with other dips.
